My Practice approach integrates evidence based practices such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness based interventions to help individuals and families overcome the impact of behavioral health concerns. Together we will identify biological, psychological, and environmental factors that predispose and perpetuate symptoms you may be struggling with. We will find ways you can build off of your current adaptive coping skills (interests and hobbies) to overcome the bad influence your negative core beliefs have on your thoughts, actions and how you physically feel or the symptoms you are struggling with. It is important to me that we focus treatment on specific skills that are consistent with your beliefs, values, and strengths. We will measure progress in treatment to focus on positive outcomes for you and your family. It is my opinion that treatment can be fun, engaging and realistic.
